The Soap Tribune, Issue #212--how to wash fresh picked lettuce
June 29, 2023

Fresh picked lettuce

Whether it's fresh picked from your market or your garden, there is nothing like a fresh picked head of lettuce salad for lunch or dinner. Or get the most out of your green drink with fresh lettuce. You will never want to go back to a head of store bought lettuce. Once you've tasted fresh picked lettuce, you will not be able to deny that plastic packaged lettuce had been suffocated.

When you have a fresh picked head of lettuce, you will need to wash it well. Click the link below for lettuce washing instructions so your salads can be the very best. Honor your farm fresh lettuce by washing it well.

Time to plant your garden

My garden is spectacular this year. Its seems as if all of my soil enriching efforts are working.

Everything I have planted out early and have had under row cover are coming up strong and brilliant. Even my loofah seeds have all germinated.

My indoor cucurbit planting experiment went well and I germinated enough to fill in all of my sports with germinated seeds.

My hopi purple dye sunflowers sprouted and the chickens dug up and ate my African dye marigold seeds. My 2nd round of lettuce will fill in the spots where I've picked lettuce..

Our Tough Guy pumice soap is a great gardener's soap. It gently scrubs your hands, leaving them soft and clean after the work of planting your garden.
