Sweet Corn at Ithaca Farmers Market

I just picked my 1st giant orange sweet pepper from my garden. I'm waiting until it's fully ripe to roast it for a sandwich with my homemade mayo with my girls beautiful eggs.

Why am I waiting? Because I'm saving seeds. I've done this before with good success. This year I have a nice variety of peppers and they are very easy to save compared to some other seeds. Simply wait until the pepper is perfectly ripe. When you cut it open to eat, scoop out the seeds into a small dish and cover with drinking water. Wait about 20-30 minutes. The mature seeds will sink to the bottom and the immature seeds will float. Pour off the water along with the floating seeds. Carefully put the mature seeds on a paper towel to dry and store in a labeled envelope.
